The Open'er Festival in Gdynia is one of the most anticipated music events of the year in Poland. It offers four days of great fun with a diverse range of music. Every year it brings famous international artists to its stage.
Participants of the event confirm that it has a fantastic festival atmosphere, which may be due to the seaside climate, good energy, and attractive festival village. However, the most important element is undoubtedly the concerts organized at the highest level with impressive stages, excellent lighting, sound systems, and the biggest music stars.
What can you expect from this year's festival edition?
The more than twenty-year history of the Open'er festival obliges it to keep a really high standard, and it often is the first or only place in Poland where foreign artists of great format perform. The festival also offers a dose of art, such as exhibitions, theatrical performances, or cabarets.
It certainly provides a lot of emotions and is a prestigious and appreciated event by artists and eagerly awaited by the public. The festival has hosted world-famous musicians such as Depeche Mode, Imagine Dragons, Bruno Mars, Rihanna, The Weeknd, and Kylie Minogue.
The next edition of Open'er is scheduled for June 28 - July 1, 2023, and ticket sales have already started. The program promises to be very interesting and diverse.
The first day will feature the exceptional vocalist and rapper Lizzo, Lil Nas X, Christine And The Queens, Paolo Nutini, and OneRepublic.
On the second day, we will hear the sound of the all-female band Los Bitchos, the American artist Machine Gun Kelly, Nothing But Thieves, and Touché Amoré.
The third day will be highlighted by the most important headliner of Open'er 2023, Arctic Monkeys, as well as Love Joy, Queens Of The Stone Age, Alyona Alyona, Caroline Polachek, and Thundercat.
The fourth and final day of the musical feast will provide another dose of excellent songs. They will be served by the American duo Sylvan Esso, Scandinavian singer Girl in Red, and rapper Destroy Lonely. The star of the evening will be hip-hop artist Kendrick Lamar. Additionally, Rina Sawayama, Warhaus, and Young Fathers will perform.
How to get to the Open'er Festival 2023?
Of course, as always, one of the most convenient means of transportation will be a taxi. However, remember that the worst thing you can do is order a taxi at the last minute. It's even worse to take a taxi from a stand at the station.
As we know, urban events are always a harvest time for taxi drivers. Unfortunately, not only honest drivers earn money then, but also scammers often pretending to be a taxi.
The best way to get a taxi to the festival area will be to order transportation directly from the hotel or apartment where you are staying. Many people make the mistake of thinking that combining SKM transport with a taxi will be cheaper. This is a good idea, but on a normal day, not on a festival day when thousands of people flood the station square.
As every year for the past 11 years, SKM in Tricity, Polregio, and ZTM Gdynia will prepare a rich transport offer. As soon as official information appears, we will update this article. It will probably be a few weeks before the festival.
