Bolt prices in 2025 may surprise you - do you really know how much you pay per kilometer, minute of driving or a moment of delay? Check out what has changed in taxi and Bolt scooter prices in Polish cities and discover ways to pay less without sacrificing convenience.

Bolt in Poland: A Brief Overview
If you use the Bolt app , or are just considering this option for quickly moving around the city, this text is for you.
The Bolt platform , formerly known as Taxify, has become a permanent fixture in Polish cities. From standard Bolt vehicles , through Bolt scooters , to Bolt Drive and food deliveries – you have everything at your fingertips.
Bolt offers flexible transportation options in many cities, and you can check ride times and prices in the app before you hit the road. But how much will it really cost in 2025? Let's see!
How much does a Bolt ride cost? (Taxis)
The cost of the course depends on several components:
Entry fee (i.e. for just starting the course),
Rate per kilometer for Bolt ride ,
Waiting time fee and per minute driving rate .
Additionally, Bolt adds a dynamic fee during peak hours – the so-called dynamic pricing system , which means that prices increase when demand exceeds supply. Prices can also be different, for example, on airport routes. What's more, the cost of Bolt can depend on the city, time, and even the weather.
Warsaw
In the capital, Bolt offers rides at prices of 3-5 PLN per kilometer and 8-12 PLN initial fee . In case of increased traffic or lack of available drivers, the price may increase.
It is worth mentioning here that the Bolt ride depends on current conditions, and the Bolt app drives dynamically – that is, it reacts to the situation in the city.
Cracow
In Krakow, a Bolt ride can cost from PLN 20 to PLN 50 , and the trip to the airport is usually PLN 35-55 , although during rush hour prices can reach up to PLN 80 per kilometre – of course, we are talking about dynamic prices here, not fixed ones.
Gdansk
Here, Bolt offers prices from 4 to 7 PLN of the initial fee , and a kilometer of a Bolt ride is about 1.30-1.80 PLN . Gdańsk drivers postulate increasing the minimum rates, which suggests that Bolt's offer is rather on the lower price range.
Compared to traditional taxis, Bolt's ride offer is very good. Importantly, thanks to the Bolt app, you know the ride price before you get in the car - which is still not standard in every taxi. This makes it easier to plan a Bolt ride and avoids unpleasant surprises.
How much does Bolt cost per kilometer?
This is one of the most frequently asked questions. Answer: it depends on the city and the traffic situation .
In Warsaw, the rate for 1 kilometer of a Bolt ride is on average PLN 3-5 .
In Gdańsk it may be cheaper: from 1.30 PLN to 1.80 PLN .
Krakow and other cities usually range between PLN 2.50 and PLN 4.50 per kilometer .
It is worth adding that during increased demand, the price may increase even two or three times, depending on the dynamic price changes in the system.
Does Bolt charge for waiting time?
Yes, Bolt charges a waiting time fee . If your Bolt driver is already there and you're late or ask them to wait a bit, the app will start charging you an additional fee after a few minutes.
Rates are set in advance , but may vary depending on the city and type of ride you choose. So it's best not to make the driver wait too long - every minute is an extra złoty .
Want to know the details? You can always check the price of your ride , including waiting fees, in the Bolt app before you confirm your order.
Does Bolt have a fixed price like traditional taxis?
Not really. While many users expect a fixed price , Bolt has a dynamic system
price . This means that the final fare may change depending on conditions: time, weather, number of drivers and demand.
What sets Bolt apart from traditional taxis is its flexibility. However, on some routes and times of day, Bolt prices can be similar to traditional fares.
The most important thing? Checking the fare in the app before committing to a ride means you know exactly how much you’ll pay — even if Bolt offers flexible options .

However, remember that you are required to know the rules of road traffic, parking and zones marked on the application map.
Starting the Bolt scooter incorrectly or parking it in a prohibited place may result in a fee – not only for the time, but also for leaving the vehicle incorrectly.
