iTaxi, the Polish answer to apps like Uber or Bolt, approaches the issue of pricing in a very clever way.
The company combines traditional taxi principles with modern solutions, giving customers a choice.
You can ride by the meter or know the final fare in advance. Let's see how this system works in practice and what costs you should be prepared for.

iTaxi's price list structure
The entire pricing system at iTaxi is based on two pillars. On the one hand, we have the classic, metered pricing—with a starting fee, a per-kilometer rate, and a waiting fee.
On the other hand, the company has introduced a "Guaranteed Price," which is a direct response to the model used by Uber and Bolt. It's a smart move.
Why? Because it allows you to reach both those who only trust traditional taxis (think corporate clients or seniors) and those who hate surprises at the end of the ride and want to know the cost upfront.
The key element here is the minimum fare values , which vary depending on the city and how you order a taxi.
In major metropolitan areas, such as Warsaw and Wrocław, a rate booked "for now" must cost at least 20 PLN. If you book it in advance (as a forward rate), the price increases to 30 PLN. In other cities, it's slightly cheaper: 15 PLN and 25 PLN, respectively. (Interestingly, the exception is Olsztyn, where the forward rate has a lower threshold – just 15 PLN).
In addition to regular rides, iTaxi offers a whole package of additional services that constitute an important part of the offer.
The price list also includes administrative fees, such as PLN 4 for accepting or changing an order via the hotline or a fee for canceling a ride , which is equal to the minimum value of the ride in a given city.
The table below summarizes the minimum fees and selected additional services in one place, showing how the offer varies by location.

What is the price of iTaxi in individual cities?
iTaxi's prices aren't the same everywhere. This is a conscious strategy that allows them to tailor their rates to the local market, residents' incomes, and the strength of the competition.
Warsaw, as the city with the highest demand and costs, is a natural point of reference for the rest of the country.
For example, the initial fee in the capital is PLN 9, and the daily rate per kilometer is PLN 3.00. Interestingly, in Olsztyn, these values are identical, indicating that the main differences in pricing lie in the minimum fees and the costs of additional services.
Tariff I – weekdays during daylight hours
This is the absolute basic and most frequently used tariff. It applies on weekdays, usually between 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m., within the city (in the so-called first zone).
In Warsaw, the rate per kilometer is PLN 3.00 . This is the tariff most often compared to competitive offers.
Tariff II – night, Sundays and holidays
The second tariff is activated at night (from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.) and around the clock on Sundays and public holidays.
The per-kilometer rate is higher in these cases, to compensate drivers for working less standard hours. In Warsaw, the fee is 3.60 PLN per kilometer within city limits.
Tariff III – outside the city during the day
Planning a trip outside the city limits on a weekday (between 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.)? That's when tariff three applies.
The higher per-kilometer rate compensates drivers for the longer, often empty, return journey to the urban area. For Warsaw, the cost is PLN 3.60 per kilometer.
Tariff IV – outside the city at night and on holidays
This is the highest fare in iTaxi's price list. It combines out-of-town (zone 2) travel with nighttime or holiday service.
It applies on weekdays from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, and 24 hours a day on Sundays and public holidays for routes beyond the city limits . In the capital, the rate is PLN 4.50 per kilometer.
Initial fee and parking fee
Regardless of the tariff chosen, each taximeter ride begins with a fixed initial fee.
In Warsaw and many other cities, it's 9 PLN . Another fixed fee is the parking fee, charged for each hour spent waiting for a passenger or being stuck in traffic. For example, in Olsztyn, it's 60 PLN per hour.
Guaranteed price at iTaxi
This is probably the most important feature for anyone who has ever felt the stress of staring at a taxi meter in traffic. The "Price Guarantee" service is a direct competitor to Uber and Bolt. Its goal is to eliminate uncertainty – you know exactly how much you'll pay from the start.
It's worth remembering, however, that by offering a fixed price, iTaxi and its drivers assume the risk of traffic jams and other delays. Therefore, certain restrictions have been introduced.
The price guarantee covers only the simplest journeys: from point A to point B, without any stops, route changes or additional services.
In this way, the company provides customers with the certainty they desire, but in controlled conditions that protect the profitability of more complex orders.
How does the guaranteed price work?
The mechanism is incredibly simple. In the mobile app, you enter your origin and destination addresses. Based on this, an algorithm calculates a flat fee, which you see before confirming your order.
If you accept, the amount is binding and won't change, even if the driver takes a longer route or you get stuck in traffic. The service is available throughout Poland, and you can pay in cash or through the app.
Limitations and exceptions to the guaranteed price
The guaranteed price functionality has been intentionally limited to ensure predictability. You will not be able to use it in the following situations:
Orders without a destination address: The lack of an endpoint prevents the calculation of a fixed price.
Trips with stops: The service does not include trips with scheduled stops.
Orders with additional services: If you select the "shopping", "animal transport" or "jumper cables" options in the app, the guaranteed price will be disabled.
Moreover, the service is inflexible during the journey. Passengers cannot change their destination during the journey—such a change would require renouncing the agreed fare and switching to metered billing. Similarly, if you get off early, you will still be charged the full agreed-upon fare.
iTaxi app and its features
The mobile app is the digital heart of the entire iTaxi system. It's not just a tool for booking rides, but also a platform that builds customer relationships and strengthens the brand's image.
How to order a ride via the mobile app
Booking a ride is incredibly quick and easy . After launching the app, you enter your pickup address (often automatically filled in by GPS) and your destination.
Then you choose the vehicle type (e.g. standard, station wagon, bus) and, most importantly, the settlement method: classic taximeter or "Guaranteed Price".
You can also order a fixed-term course by specifying a specific day and time.
After confirmation, you see the driver's details , the make and registration number of the car, and you can track its position on the map in real time.
Trip history and course integrity check
One of the most interesting features supporting the company's "Fairness Guarantee" is ride history. Every completed ride is saved in your account.
There, you can view the route traveled on a map, travel time, and final cost. This provides full transparency and a tool for verifying that the fare has been charged correctly.
Mobile and cash payment
iTaxi prioritizes flexibility, combining traditional payment methods with modern solutions. Every vehicle in the fleet is equipped with a terminal, so you can easily pay directly to the driver by card. Cash is also available, of course.
At the same time, the app offers an advanced cashless payment system. Simply connect your payment card, PayPal account, or other popular digital wallets to your account.
Can I pay by Card, Cash or BLIK at iTaxi?
Yes, iTaxi accepts virtually all popular payment methods. You can pay for your ride:
In cash – directly to the driver.
By payment card – each driver has a terminal.
BLIK – via the mobile application.
Google Pay (GPay) – integrated with the Android application.
PayPal – you can connect your account in the app.
By card in the app – after adding the card to your profile, the fee will be charged automatically.
The app also offers unique options, such as adding a receipt to your phone bill or supporting a charitable foundation with every order.
How to order a ride at iTaxi?
Unlike competitors who often rely on apps, iTaxi consciously embraces omnichannel. This is a well-thought-out business decision.
This allows the company to reach a wider group of customers, including seniors, people without smartphones, and business customers who prefer contact with a dispatcher.
Order via mobile app
This is the primary and most convenient channel, providing access to all features, including the "Guaranteed Price," live vehicle tracking, and personalization options like " Quiet Ride." It's the fastest method, aimed at the modern user.
Order by phone and online
iTaxi maintains a 24/7 hotline at 737 737 737. This is a crucial service for those who prefer direct human contact or want to order a custom service, such as shopping with delivery. Alternatively, there's an online order form on the company's website, which can be used from a computer.
What are the special services at iTaxi?
iTaxi is much more than just passenger transportation. The company is strategically expanding its portfolio, becoming a comprehensive provider of everyday transportation and logistics services.
Taxi to the airport, including flat rate to Modlin
Airport transfers are one of our flagship premium services. iTaxi serves all major airports in Poland. Punctuality and comfort are key, and a huge advantage is that licensed iTaxi taxis can legally use bus lanes , significantly reducing travel times during peak hours.
For transfers to Modlin Airport, located approximately 40 km from Warsaw city center, iTaxi does not publish a fixed flat rate. In practice, however, this is served by a "Guaranteed Price," which provides passengers with a pre-determined price.
Comparison of Approximate Transfer Prices to Modlin Airport from Warsaw City Center
Supplier | Price (Day) | Price (Night/Holidays) | Vehicle Type (Standard/BUS) |
Glob Taxi | from 99 PLN | Higher, no specifications | Standard / from PLN 129 (BUS) |

Taxi for companies and cashless rides
Serving business customers is one of the cornerstones of iTaxi's business. The company offers an advanced platform for managing business trips, allowing companies to optimize costs.
Corporate clients receive access to an online panel where they can generate collective invoices, set spending limits for employees, and create vouchers for guests.
Luggage taxi and goods transport
Need to transport larger purchases, a small piece of furniture, or sports equipment? iTaxi offers a "luggage taxi" service. Simply order a station wagon or van through the app.
Taxi for 5-8 people and group transportation
For larger groups, iTaxi offers minibuses that can accommodate 5 to 8 people. This is a convenient and often more economical alternative to ordering multiple individual taxis. The service can be booked in the app by selecting the "BUS " option.
iTaxi in major cities
A presence in key metropolitan areas is the foundation of the company's operations. However, the development strategy in each city is slightly different, tailored to local conditions and competition.
iTaxi Warsaw – availability and fleet
Warsaw is an absolutely strategic market for iTaxi. A key move here was the acquisition of EcoCar, which significantly expanded the fleet with modern, eco-friendly hybrid and electric vehicles (including KIA EV6, KIA NIRO, and Toyota models).
This move not only shortened waiting times but also strengthened the company's environmentally friendly image. Its position in the capital was further solidified by the inclusion of vehicles from the Euro Taxi and Tele Taxi corporations.
iTaxi Gdańsk - how it works after the last expansion
iTaxi's expansion in the Tricity area is an example of an aggressive acquisition strategy that has yielded mixed results. Between 2022 and 2023, the company acquired a number of local companies, including Komfort Taxi, AS Taxi, and City Drivers, citing the desire to shorten waiting times for a car.
Behind the scenes, however, the integration proved chaotic. Customers reported numerous issues: canceled trips, long wait times, and uncompetitive prices.
Complaints about the quality of service surfaced, and drivers from the acquired companies complained about unfavorable terms of service and high commissions. It appears that the pace of expansion exceeded the company's operational capabilities, temporarily worsening rather than improving the quality of service.
iTaxi Kraków, Wrocław, Olsztyn – regional offers
In other cities, iTaxi is focusing on more sustainable development.
Krakow: The company offers a full range of services, including transfers to Krakow-Balice Airport, competing with the official carrier thanks to the convenience of the app and the "Guaranteed Price".
Wrocław: Similar to Warsaw, higher minimum fees apply (PLN 20), reflecting its status as a large agglomeration.
Olsztyn: Here, iTaxi partnered with local company Green Taxi, whose fleet consists of over 60% low-emission vehicles. The lower fee for a scheduled ride (PLN 15) demonstrates its flexibility in adapting its pricing to a smaller market.
Standards and service security
In the fight against global players, iTaxi has made safety and professionalism its hallmark.
From the outset, the company has emphasized that it only works with licensed taxi drivers. This is a key element in building trust, especially among corporate clients.
All iTaxi drivers must have a valid taxi license, which guarantees that they have passed an official verification, including a criminal record check.
The company also cares about the personal culture of its drivers, and the app's rating system allows for ongoing monitoring of the quality of their work.
iTaxi fleet and comfort level
The standards also cover the technical condition of the vehicles. Cars must be in excellent condition, as confirmed by regular inspections.
The iTaxi offer includes various classes of cars: from standard sedans, through spacious station wagons and vans, to premium class vehicles.
Electric cars at iTaxi
Investing in electromobility is one of iTaxi's most important development directions. The company has an ambitious goal: by 2030, 80% of its fleet will be fully electric vehicles.
Models such as the Tesla Model Y, KIA EV6 and the hydrogen Toyota Mirai are now joining the fleet.
It's more than just ecology.
For corporate clients who need to report their carbon footprint (ESG), the ability to operate a zero-emission fleet becomes a powerful business argument.
Moreover, the presence of prestigious brands like Tesla positions iTaxi as a modern and premium service. Passengers can support this transformation by selecting the "ECO" option in the app.
Guaranteed honesty and price transparency
The "Integrity Guarantee" is a promise of transparency. How is it implemented? First, through the "Price Guarantee."
Secondly, for taximeter rides, the app saves the route, which allows you to verify it later.
Thirdly, working only with licensed drivers who know the city well is intended to minimize the risk of deliberate fraud.
How is iTaxi currently different from Uber and Bolt?
Although regulations (the so-called " Lex Uber ") have leveled the legal playing field for everyone, fundamental differences remain between iTaxi and global platforms. iTaxi consciously positions itself as a premium brand, offering higher quality and safety, which translates into slightly higher prices but also a broader range of services.
To make things clear, let's look at a direct comparison of the key differences.
Key Operational Differences: iTaxi vs. Uber & Bolt
Category | iTaxi | Uber / Bolt |
Business Model | Hybrid: a technology platform integrating traditional taxi companies. Strong focus on the B2B market. | Technology platforms (aggregators) connecting passengers with drivers (often through fleet partners). Focus on the B2C market. |
Requirements for Drivers | Requirement to have a full, individual taxi license from the beginning of operation. | Currently, a license is required, but the model has historically relied on lower barriers to entry and a fleet partner structure ("gig economy"). |
Pricing Structure | Dual system: traditional taximeter and "Guaranteed Price." Prices are perceived as more stable. | Dynamic pricing ("surge pricing") based on supply and demand. Prices may be lower at peak times, but increase dramatically during peak hours. |
Service Portfolio | Wide range: airport transfers, company services, transportation of goods, shopping, group transport. | Focused primarily on passenger transportation. Limited offering of additional services. |
Safety and Regulations | The model complies with taxi regulations from the outset. Safety, based on licensed drivers, is a key element of marketing. | Companies have had to adapt their models to meet stricter regulations. In the past, they have struggled with image issues related to safety. |
Order Channels | Multi-channel: mobile app, 24/7 hotline, online form. | Mainly (or exclusively) via a mobile app. |
iTaxi has carved out a unique niche for itself in the Polish market. It is neither a typical taxi company nor a simple clone of global apps.
a technology company that successfully combines the advantages of both worlds, giving customers choice, security and comprehensive service.
