Updated: Nov 8, 2023

Summer is the perfect time to relax and have fun on the beach. In Gdańsk, one of the most beautiful cities in Poland, there are numerous bathing beaches that are an ideal place to spend time with family and friends. Regardless of age, everyone will find something for themselves - beautiful landscapes, sandy beaches, warm waters of the Baltic Sea and many other attractions.

Bathing areas in Gdańsk are safe and always well maintained. So it's a good idea to bring your kids along to enjoy playing in the sand, building castles and swimming in the kid-friendly area. Many bathing areas also offer attractions for children, such as playgrounds, slides and trampolines.

Gdańsk is not only a place for sunbathing, but also for sightseeing. During the day, you can visit beautiful monuments, such as Granary Island, St. Mary's Basilica or the Old Town. In the evening, you can relax on the beach, enjoying the beautiful view of the setting sun and spending time with family and friends.

Therefore, if you are planning a holiday in Poland, it is worth considering Gdańsk as your destination. This city offers not only beautiful beaches, but also many other attractions that will make your vacation unforgettable.

  1. Stogi Beach - one of the largest and most popular beaches in Gdańsk, with a beautiful view of the Bay of Gdańsk. It is an ideal place for families with children, due to many attractions, such as football and volleyball courts, water equipment rentals.

  2. Jelitkowo - one of the most popular beaches in Gdańsk, located between Sopot and Gdańsk. It is an ideal place for lovers of water sports, as well as for families with children, due to numerous attractions, such as water equipment rentals and a playground for children.

  3. Brzeźno - one of the most picturesque beaches in Gdańsk, with a beautiful view of the Bay of Gdańsk. It is an ideal place for lovers of water sports, due to many attractions, such as water equipment rentals and football and volleyball courts.

  4. Sobieszewo - is a beach located north of Gdańsk, on the island of the same name. It is an ideal place for lovers of nature and peace, due to the picturesque landscapes and a large amount of wildlife.

  5. Zaspa is a beach located in the district of Gdańsk with the same name. It is one of the smaller beaches in Gdańsk, but still very popular among locals and tourists.

  6. The beach in Górki Zachodnie in Gdańsk is a charming place that attracts tourists and residents of the city with its beautiful scenery. This beach stretches for several kilometers and is one of the most pristine. An additional advantage of the beach in Górki Zachodnie is its relatively small number of tourists, thanks to which you can find peace and relaxation in the bosom of nature. Between Stogi Beach and Górki Zachodnie there is a nudist beach .

Stogi Beach

6.5 km from the city center

The cost of a taxi is about PLN 30-40

The beach in Stogi is one of the widest beaches in the Tri-City, which means that there will be no problem finding a place to relax, even if you arrive later. Despite its size, this beach is less popular among tourists, but very much liked and appreciated by the inhabitants of Gdańsk.

The beach in Stogi is characterized by a beautiful sandy shore and a view of the picturesque Gdańsk Bay.

It is an ideal place for families with children, due to many attractions, such as football and volleyball courts. Due to the lower popularity among tourists, there are slightly fewer restaurants and cafes in the area, but certainly enough. Thanks to its location, the beach in Stogi is well connected with other districts of Gdańsk, which makes it easily accessible to tourists.

Jelitkowo Beach

12 km from the Centre

The cost of a taxi is about PLN 45-65

The beach in Jelitkowo is one of the most beautiful beaches in Gdańsk. It is characterized by a beautiful sandy shore and a picturesque view of the Gulf of Gdańsk. It is an ideal place for families with children, due to many attractions, such as the mouth of the stream to the Baltic Sea, where children will be able to play in the water.

One of the main advantages of the beach in Jelitkowo is the gastronomic offer. There are many restaurants, cafes and shops near the beach, offering a wide range of food and drinks. Tourists and residents of Gdańsk are offered seafood dishes, traditional Polish dishes as well as delicious ice cream and desserts.

Unfortunately, the beach in Jelitkowo is very popular, which means that you need to get a seat early to be sure that you will be able to find a free spot. Especially on hot summer days, the beach fills up quickly and it can be hard to find a spot for yourself.

Despite the fact that the beach in Jelitkowo is one of the most popular beaches in Gdańsk, it still retains its charm and picturesqueness. It is located near the Oliwski Park, which offers many tourist attractions, such as the Pachołek observation tower, the palm house, the arboretum and the Abbots' Palace in Oliwa. The beach in Jelitkowo is the perfect place for people who want to combine relaxing on the beach with a visit to one of the most beautiful parks in Poland.

Brzeźno Beach

10 km from the center

The cost of a taxi is about PLN 40-55

The beach in Brzeźno is one of the most popular beaches in Gdańsk. It is located close to the old town, making it an ideal place for people who rent an apartment in that area and want to take advantage of the charms of the sandy beach.

Unfortunately, the beach in Brzeźno is also the most popular beach in Gdansk, which means that it's hard to find a free spot, especially during peak hours. Therefore, if you want to enjoy relaxing at the Brzeźno swimming pool, it is better to go there early in the morning or late in the afternoon.

The beach in Brzeźno is an ideal place for slightly older tourists who appreciate a good gastronomic offer and the proximity of bars with cold beer. There are many restaurants, cafes and bars on the beach that offer a wide range of food and drinks. Many of them specialize in seafood.

The beach in Brzeźno is guarded, which means that it is a safe place for tourists who want to enjoy swimming in the Baltic Sea. At the same time, due to the large number of people who visit the beach, I do not recommend it for families with children. It's hard to look after a child in such a crowd, especially when the beach is full.

Although the beach in Brzeźno is very popular, it still has its charm and is one of the most picturesque places in Gdańsk. The beach offers a beautiful view of the Gulf of Gdańsk, and there are many tourist attractions nearby, such as the pier in Zaspa, commonly known as the pier in Brzeźno, Reagan Park and the Spa House.

The beach in Brzeźno is an ideal place for tourists who want to take advantage of the charms of the city and at the same time enjoy relaxing on the beach.

Sobieszewo Beach

19 km from the center

The cost of a taxi is about PLN 70-100

The beaches on Sobieszewska Island are some of the most beautiful beaches in the Gdańsk region. Although they are farthest from the city center, it is worth taking the time and going there to enjoy the charms of sandy beaches and beautiful nature.

Sobieszewo Island is surrounded by water on three sides, which makes the beaches very picturesque and offer views of the Gulf of Gdańsk. In addition, the beaches on Sobieszewo Island are very clean and quiet, which makes them an ideal place for people who want to relax away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Sobieszewo Island offers many different beaches, which means that everyone will find something for themselves. On the island there are wild beaches that are less crowded and more natural, but also beaches that are guarded and offer many tourist facilities, such as water equipment rentals, bars and restaurants.

The beaches on Sobieszewo Island are also an ideal place for nature lovers. In the area there are forests and nature reserves "Ptasi Raj", which are an ideal place for walking and cycling. Even though the beaches on Sobieszewo Island are located farthest from the city center, it is worth going there to enjoy the charms of beautiful and picturesque beaches and nature. Sobieszewo Beach

Zaspa Beach

11 km from the center

The cost of a taxi is about PLN 40-60

The bathing resort in Zaspa is one of the best places for sunbathing and is located near the pier in Zaspa. Although it is often mistakenly called "the beach at the pier in Brzeźno", it is a separate beach, a good half a kilometer away from the one in Brzeźno.

To get to the beach in Zaspa, you can walk along a beautiful promenade from Jana Pawła II Street, which leads across the Regan Park.

The beach in Zaspa is the perfect place for those who are looking for a place with fewer children. To the left of the pier we have an unguarded beach, a good place for adult sunbathers. And to the right of the pier and directly at the pier there is a guarded beach.

There are numerous facilities on the beach, such as beach equipment rentals, cafes and bars, as well as trampolines and a toilet. On the beach you can also rent water equipment such as scooters or take a ride on the so-called banana.

It is worth noting that the beach in Zaspa is an ideal place for families with children, because there are playgrounds in the area, and the water here is gentle and shallow, which gives a sense of safety for the youngest.

To sum up, the beach in Zaspa is a beautiful and peaceful place where you can relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the coastal nature. It is located near the Regan Park and can be reached via a beautiful promenade from Jana Pawła II Street.

It is an ideal place for families with children and for all those who appreciate peace and quiet by the sea. Due to the proximity of the Regan Park, it is also an ideal place for a walk, you can walk along the sea to walk the Regan Park on your return.

The beach on the West Hills "Górki Zachodnie"

11.5 km from the center

The cost of a taxi is about PLN 45-60

The beach on Górki Zachodnie in Gdańsk is one of the most beautiful beaches in the Tri-City, which is worth visiting, especially if you are looking for peace and beautiful scenery. One of the most interesting elements of this beach is its location among the seaside forest, which is also interesting because there is a nudist beach nearby. For people who prefer this style of relaxation, it is the perfect place to rest and relax in the bosom of nature.

However, this is not the only attraction of the beach in Górki Zachodnie. It is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Gdańsk. It stretches for several kilometers and offers amazing views of the Gulf of Gdańsk and the surrounding dunes covered with seaside forest. This beach is also one of the least frequented by tourists, making it an ideal destination for people who value peace and privacy.

It should be noted, however, that due to its virginity, the beach in Górki Zachodnie offers fewer attractions, such as bars and restaurants, than other beaches in Gdańsk. However, if you want to spend time in the bosom of nature, in peace and quiet, this is the perfect place for you. Here you can rest, relax, swim in the warm waters of the Gulf of Gdańsk or just take a walk on the beach and admire the beauty of nature.

To sum up, the beach in Górki Zachodnie in Gdańsk is an ideal place for people who appreciate the peace and beauty of nature. It is probably the most beautiful beach in Gdańsk, but also one of the least frequented by tourists. This beach is an ideal place for people who want to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city and immerse themselves in the beautiful scenery.
