Do you still remember the Crooked House at Monte Cassino? This fairy-tale building, which for years was bustling with nightlife, has undergone a real metamorphosis.
On May Day 2025, the first food hall in Sopot officially opened there, combining what we love most: delicious food, chilling and good fun. Ready to discover how much this iconic address has changed?

New life for the Crooked House in Sopot
The Crooked House has always attracted attention. Its curved walls and wavy lines inspired by the work of Jan Marcin Szancer, Per Dahlberg and the atmosphere of Gaudi made it impossible to pass by indifferently.
For years it was a symbol of Sopot at night , home to clubs, pubs and dancing weekends.
Now, however, it was time for a change. Krzywy Domek gained a second life as a modern gastronomic and cultural space . And not just any space! It became a year-round food hall , which brings a completely new quality of culinary and social gatherings to the city.
What will you eat, what will you drink, where will you have fun?
Inside, you will find 8-9 world cuisines – from Italian classics (e.g. Pizza Mollo on a thin, crispy crust), through spicy Korea and aromatic Thailand inspired by Bangkok cuisine, to the flavors of Georgia (i.e. Ketili Puri Georgian Bakery with khachapuri, kubdari and lula), Japan and America. There is even a section with Italian-style sweets , such as traditional cannoli. Sounds good?
Fancy a drink? No problem. You have three bars at your disposal: the main one on the ground floor, the seasonal one on the glass patio and another one on the first floor, connected to the event space. Especially the seasonal one with a view of the starry sky has an atmosphere you can fall in love with.
And speaking of events – the first floor is a concert stage, a place for stand-ups and corporate meetings or conferences. And for families with children? Here you go: an interactive Museum of Illusions , a 7D sensory cinema and a multimedia VR oceanarium , which impress even adults.
Climate, interiors and hours – practically
The interior of the food hall is a nod to the seaside climate. Bright colors, wood, a marine palette and greenery create a space that you simply want to be in. There are about 160 seats at guests' disposal, and the whole takes up 162 m² - it may not seem like much, but it is planned wisely.
Although the exact opening hours may change, it is known that this is a year-round space adapted to the rhythm of the city. During the week, the food hall is open from 12:00 to 22:00, and on weekends an hour longer. Early birds can drop in for breakfast at Hola Tapas from 9:00.
All this makes the new Crooked House not only an architectural curiosity, but a place that lives . Perfect for a date, lunch, a family afternoon or an evening with friends.
